Business Meeting Minutes
November 27, 2005

Ponderosa S.A.G.E. Fellowship
Special Business Meeting
Sunday, November 27, 2005

Opening Prayer:
Rev. David Phears began this meeting at 12:00 p.m. with opening prayer.

Present:
There were approximately 25 to 30 members present, representing a quorum of our congregation.

Agenda:
Patricia Alice took the floor to explain the two items on the agenda:

1. Acceptance of the California Endowment grant of $49,968 for the Community Counseling Center:

The Community Counseling Center is a branch of the Ponderosa S.A.G.E. Ministry and is operating under their 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. As such, CCC applied for and received the aforementioned grant to be used in calendar year 2006. Pat explained that while there will be many indirect benefits to the Ponderosa S.A.G.E. Fellowship, the funds must be disbursed in strict adherence to the line-item budget submitted thereto. Copies of the budget were available for all to review and a copy is attached.

Pat also discussed the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement, which required agreement of the assembly and signature of the executive director before the check can be disbursed to us. Steve Elliott moved to accept the terms and conditions of the grant award; Doris Engelhaupt seconded the motion, and the motion carried.

2. Our upcoming church move from the Oasis Charter Academy:

Our second item of business was the news that Oasis Charter Academy chose not to renew our lease for calendar year 2006. Our rent is paid through 2005; however, we need to begin our search for a new facility immediately. Our goal is that we find a centrally located place that is comfortable and attractive where we can have an affordable long-term contract with owners that are friendly to us, and that we have room for expansion. We also would like to have a place to store our supplies.

After a discussion of both the agenda items, and the vote taken for the first item, the meeting was adjourned at 12:35 p.m. with a closing prayer from Rev. David Phears.
