Reverend David was born in the same year that the armed services were ordered de-segregated in 1947. He was raised as the child of a military family. His father was a Tuskegee Airman and eventually retired as an officer in the air force.
Rev. David attended Grand View Jr. College in Des Moines, Iowa and Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his studies at the ICRS (Independent Church of Religious Science) College and Seminary in San Diego California.
He is no stranger to trials and tribulations both in society and in his personal life. He was deeply involved in the protests against racial discrimination in the turbulent 60s and early 70s. As a formerly addicted person, Rev. David attributes the power of prayer, conviction of choice and unconditional universal love for his waking up to clean, whole, fun, productive and giving living.
He gives the year 1984 as the year of his spiritual awakening and transformation. Rev. David was ordained in 1989. He is also a trained and recognized personal spiritual coach, as well as a trained and effective mediator in the field of conflict resolution.
Rev. David is the proud father of six daughters, and two sons. His lovely wife, Michelle and he share a vision. That vision is to make a healing difference in racial and social experiences through the personal practice of ancient wisdom taught in all major religions. Through the practical application of spiritual principles both lived & learned by adults, Rev. David & Michelle know that the children of the world will see that there is a better way than hate and a higher calling than separation. |
